Black & White Leopard Print

Jumper, Blouse (with collar), Leggings, Bracelets: Internacionale

This is one of my favourite outfits to wear for work at the moment. It is the perfect combination of comfy and smart. The jumper is slightly longer at the back, so most of my bum is covered... I'm a firm believer in leggings aren't trousers, but with these patterned ones, I don't think it's as vital.

I really love this jumper, mainly because you can completley change the look of it, simply by changing the top you wear underneath it. It reminds me of something I used to wear in the 90's!

These are the final photos from my little photo shoot from work, they were used for a 'dress to impress' campaign and the photos (along with others from other stores) were sent round to all Internacionale's in an email to show ways to dress for work, hence why I was wearing my work lanyard in the majority of the shots.

I'm having a lazy night in tonight, watching Take Me Out and eating rubbish before an early night... I'm at work tomorrow!

Missguided Wishlist

If money was no object, I would be buying every single one of these items from Missguided.

It looks like their S/S collection is going to be amazing. I really love all the pastel shades that are coming through... maybe for once I'll actually be a fan of Summer clothes!

There are a few things on this list that I don't actually think I will be able to resist, specifically the first shirt (how CUTE is the collar with the little hearts on it), the polka dot jeans and the bag, which in my opinion is the most amazing colour ever. And I need a dress for a night out in March, so I'll probably buy one of these for that.

I WANT the JC Lita lookalikes too... really badly! But, would I wear them enough to justify buying them? I'm not sure...

Have you bought from Missguided before? I'd love to know your experiences with delivery/quality/returns etc.

Metallic 4 Life Nails

I was recently sent a bottle of OPI nail polish from the new Nicki Minaj collection. I was given the choice of which polish to receive, and I chose Metallic 4 Life.

The polishes are described as 'Stylish and sassy shades, inspired by the Queen of Hip Hop'.

Metallic 4 Life reminds me of the infamous Rainbow Connection, obviously with less colour, but it has the same large glitter particles, and is just as gorgeous!

Needless to say, the quality of the polish is second to none, which I have come to expect from OPI.

To get the effect shown in the picture, I used two coats, which each dried within seconds.

This charcoal sparkle flies with the stars in the skies.

Leopard Print, A Dipped Hem & Studs

This is my favourite outfit at the moment, although I've mainly worn it with black tights... I liked the burgundy ones until I looked back on these photos! I think they're a bit too bright for me, but they were only £1 in the Topshop sale, so I can't moan.

The blouse was another one of those 'must have' items as soon as I set eyes on it. I've had a lot of those moments lately, which maybe explains my bank balance! It reminds me of the Motel leopard print dresses from last year. I love the collar too (I love anything with a collar, I know!) I'm definitely going to be wearing this under jumpers with the collar out... I can picture the outfits already. I love when I get excited about an item of clothing, it makes me feel less guilty for buying!

Another hi lo hem/dipped hem/asymmetric skirt, after wearing the dress, I couldn't resist buying this one too. I added the studded belt for a bit of a harder edge to the floaty skirt, and planned on it pulling me in a bit, but even on the smallest hole it's a little bit big.

These pictures were taken the first time I used my Sleek eyebrow kit. I was worried my brows looked a little too thick and dark compared to when I used the ELF kit, but I don't think they look too bad in the pictures... what do you think?

January Favourites 2012

I've only done a couple of these posts before, but they're something I really enjoy writing. What's better than sharing your current favourite products and newly discovered beauties?! I'm going to make a conscious effort to do one of these posts every month this year! Hopefully I will remember.

Vaseline Creme Brûlée - this has to be my most used product of the year so far. The cold weather has had me constantly reaching for it, and reapplying. I was a little disappointed when I first tried it, as I was hoping for a really special flavour, but to be honest, it's not that different to the original Vaseline. Nevertheless, it's still great stuff, and keeps my lips free from chapping and drying out.

Witch primer - I won this in a competition on the Witch Facebook page, and I'm so grateful, because this is now an everyday essential for me. Because I suffer from dry skin, I always like to use a primer as an extra bit of moisture more than anything, before applying my foundation. This is a skin clearing primer, and although it hasn't made any difference to my problem areas, it does leave my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and makes my makeup last a lot longer than it does without a primer. I've had it for quite a while, and I've still got over half of the product left, so it's definitely worth buying.

Coralista blush - This was my first ever 'high end' makeup purchase and started my obsession with it all. I love Benefit powders, and this is definitely my favourite. People turn their noses up at Benefit products a bit, because of the high prices, but when I think how long I have had this for, and I still haven't hit the bottom yet... it's totally worth the price! Coralista is beautifully packaged, and is a gorgeous pinky coral colour. I've been wearing this every day for the past couple of weeks.

Illamasqua Femme lipgloss - If you're a regular reader of my blog, you will most likely know that I am not a fan of lipgloss. Until I received this little beauty at the Illamasqua event I would go as far as saying I never wear lipgloss... yes I owned a few before this one, but I would always reach for lipstick instead. This is now my go-to lip product for nights out, it is the perfect bright pinky coral colour, and it isn't sticky at all! Amazing!

Batiste Dry Shampoo - I have probably mentioned this in every favourites post I've ever done, but I literally couldn't cope without this stuff! A must-have for me. The one in the photo is the Medium Brunette version, but I love the XXL Volume and Blush ones too.

Models Own Concrete Mixer polish - Models Own are still a firm favourite of mine, and this is such a gorgeous colour. Something a little different for me, as I usually go for dark or really bright shades... it's a really lovely, light brown/grey shade. For some reason, I always feel very classy when I wear it!

Monday Mugshot #27

So the snow finally arrived, and pretty much disappeared again. In the short time we had it up North, I managed to almost fall over about five times and get my car stuck, so I'm kind of glad it's on it's way! The only time I like snow is when I don't actually have to go anywhere and I can sit inside in the warm, or make snowmen.

This is my first blog post from my new laptop, with the new version of Photo Booth... better quality photos from now on! It's about time I invested in a new one, the old one was breaking bit by bit, and looked about ready to explode.

I've seen quite a few people blogging about a 50% off Glossybox code... I'm thinking about signing up again for half price. I cancelled my subscription just before Christmas because I thought I could use the £10 towards something better, that I really wanted each month. I do love receiving the parcels and not knowing what's in them though... very tempted!

I went out for tea with my friend tonight, one of our local bars does food for £1 on a Monday - love a bargain! Now I'm back, I'm going to have a cosy night in watching YouTube videos. I set up my own account today, which you can subscribe to here... obviously nothing on it yet though! Please recommend me some channels to watch when I get in.

Another outfit from my little shoot at work... I actually love this, even though it's not really very 'me' at all. I'm usually much girlier than this, and would generally pair a pretty blouse or collared top with these shorts or a blazer, but I took a shine to this leopard top straight away (for once it's an actual leopard, and not just leopard print!). I think it was the overall colours of the outfit that drew me in!

I've got quite a few beauty related posts planned this week, I'm going to schedule a few for while I'm working and get the rest up on my days off... still not planning on missing a day's blogging this year, and February is only a short month, so no excuses! I'll be back to the regular outfit posts the following week though, most likely including a couple of 'night out' styles. All of which will be done on my new laptop! I've finally upgraded!

Topshop Aiden Boots

I've wanted these boots for so long. I almost bought them when I saw them in my local Topshop, then put it off for a little while, then the sold out, went into the sale and were never to be seen again.

I actually called every Topshop between Newcastle and Scarborough to try and track a pair down, with no luck.

Ever since then, I've been looking on eBay constantly for a pair, from a seller who wasn't trying to rip me off! Last week I finally found a pair in my size, and snapped them up straight away. The seller was lovely, and posted them straight out to me.

I've worn them every day since! They're totally worth the wait.

101 in 1001

I wrote one of these lists in 2009, and unfortunately, didn't complete many of my goals. I didn't take it very seriously, and kind of forgot about it for a while, so lots got missed out. I couldn't decide whether to do another list, but I've decided that I'm going to, and that I'm going to try my best to tick them all off the list.
I'm going to keep them realistic and achievable... no jumping out of planes for me!

The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Hi Lo Hem Dress

This is another outfit from the same day as I photographed this one.
I love this dress, especially the graduated hemline... which I was going to call an asymmetrical hemline, but apparently is called a hi lo hem?!

The colour is also one of my favourites at the moment. It's a bit too cold to wear on it's own this time of the year, so I layered it with a scallop vest and a chunky cardigan. Very cosy! I'm hoping I get invited to a wedding or christening in the summer so I can wear it on it's own, but for the time being, I'm loving wearing it this way. I'm a big fan of layers and chunky tights... definitely not complaining about the cold weather when it comes to fashion!

I know I promised a day in the life type blog post documenting my trip to Manchester this weekend... well, I'm sorry, but I failed in really taking any photos. My whole time there was a bit of a rush really and my phone battery died on the train, so I couldn't even snap any quick pictures as I was rushing around.

I still want to dedicate a post to the reason I was in Manchester, and that was to see my favourite singer Laura White perform at The Lowry Theatre. You might remember Laura from X Factor... I've been a huge fan of her voice ever since, and Saturday night saw her perform a 'one night only' show of her new material which will be on her album, released later this year.

The music was amazing, and Laura looked stunning. I know this is a fashion blog, so I thought I would show you some photos of her amazing outfits, designed and made especially for Laura's show, by Spencer Lammy.

Monday Mugshot #26

Since we last spoke I've been to Manchester and back in somewhat of a whirlwind visit (more about that tomorrow) and today I was back at work for the first time in what feels like forever, but was actually only a four day break. I have also completed my new '101 in 1001' list, which I am very excited about completing. It was going to be a '30 before 30' list, but I had too many things I wanted to include! I'll be posting the list later in the week.

I hope you're all keeping well. I know a lot of bloggers are attending various events this week, unfortunately, I won't be there... the downside to living up North! I very much look forward to reading everyone's blog posts though.

I'm really proud to say that I have posted on here every single day since January 1st this year! I didn't think I'd manage a week, let alone a whole month... I'm going to try and keep it up.

River Island & New Look Haul

I've slipped into a really bad habit of spending too much money lately, but there has been so much nice stuff in the shops, I just haven't been able to resist!

The River Island top is actually identical to the current Topshop version, but it was in the sale for only £15! They only had a size 16 left, but I bought it anyway, because it's perfectly oversized to wear just with leggings.

The glittery dress is one I had my eye on over the Christmas period, but I still think I'll get some wear out of it now... Who says glitter is only for Christmas?!

The New Look clothes were both from a NL Sale store, which was pretty amazing! They had loads of bargains. The wedges were full price. I'd wanted the bird blouse before it went into sale, but couldn't get it in my size, so I was extra pleased to find this!

The bird print dress was a bit of an impulse purchase, just because it was cute and cheap. It's the kind of thing I'll be able to throw on with tights and be ready to go. Everyone needs a few of those dresses!

I've worn the wedges pretty much every day since I got them. They're the perfect colour and the heel is just right height for me. They're super comfy and go really well with all my coloured skinnies and my leopard leggings.

I'll be posting another haul later in the week, then hopefully I'll stop shopping!

Monochrome Blouse

This is the blouse I wore to the Illamasqua Leeds store opening, but it was so cold that night I didn't even take my coat off, so nobody saw what I had on!
This blouse is one of my favourites ever... a beaded peter pan collar, black edging, little pleats on the front - it's super cute. And I'm still loving coloured jeans, these burgandy high waisted ones are the latest addition to my collection, and are perfect for tucking in to.

The first two photos were taken without flash, and the second two, with. Unfortunately, these photos had to be taken while I was at work, and there wasn't any natural light available... this also explains the different background and the lanyard.

P.S. This is a scheduled post because at the moment I'm in Manchester seeing my girl Laura White!

Wednesday night saw the National Television Awards hit our TV screens, and after seeing the outfits, following on from my post about Caroline Flack's outfit, I couldn't resist writing a blog post and showing you my favourite dresses of the night! Strangely enough, the TOWIE girls stole the night for me!

Sam and Lauren Pope looked amazing, I can't choose a favourite between the two!

I love the colour and the neckline of Lauren G's dress, although she's had quite a lot of negative press regarding this dress I think it's lovely. We all know Lauren's not a size zero, so she's not going to look stick thin, but that's what I like about her and I think her dark hair looks great.

Lucy never fails to look stunning! I love anything nude coloured, and the extra sparkle on her dress is really pretty.

Lastly, Chloe's dress is gorgeous, shame about the pose!

Oh and thank goodness Corrie won!.. I actually prefer Hollyoaks, but I'm just happy Eastenders didn't win.

Mustard Collar

Yellow is not a colour I would say I was a big fan of, it's a bit too garish and bright for me, but when I saw this top in the Topshop sale, I decided to give it a go! It was the collar that sold it to me, but I actually love everything about this top! The colour is more of a bright mustard, than yellow (or so I keep telling myself!), the fabric is lovely, with a soft ribbed effect allover, and the black collar is a lovely contrast.

I kept the outfit really simple, by wearing it with brown shorts and black tights - done!

I timed taking these photos quite badly, and just caught the edge of the last bit of natural light, so I've included two pictures taken with the flash on too.

I also played with the angle of my camera for these photos a bit... made my tripod a bit higher. What do you think? Do you prefer these photos to my usual outfit pics?

Caroline Flack At The NTA's 2012

I think you all know how much I love Caroline, so I just had to show you her outfit from tonight's National Television Awards.

First up, she debuted her new hair. I'm pretty sure she has actually had her hair cut into a long bob, so she's wearing extensions here, but more importantly... the ombre hair has gone! In all honesty, I prefer her with the blonde ends, but this shade of brown with a few highlights is beautiful... definitely a good choice.

I am in love with how she has put the pink shirt/collar under her dress... these are the things that make me love Caroline the most, she always adds a quirky twist to her outfits.

The dress is an expensive one, it's part of PPQ's AW 2011 collection, but it's really similar to lots of dresses on the high street at the moment.

Her boots are Topshop's Paragon peep toe heels... prepare for them to sell out soon!

Leather Sleeves & Coloured Jeans

From the first time I saw this top on the SoSolo website, I loved it. I added it to my basket over and over again, before my boyfriend took the hint and bought me it for my birthday!

I love that it's quirky, and a little bit different, but I do find it really difficult to style. I find the top quite masculine looking, partly because of the leather sleeves, and party because of the dark colour, and although I love it, I didn't want to end up looking too manly (lol).

My initial thought was to team the top with a skirt, which is how I came to wearing it on top of this safety pin print dress. I then added the feather necklace for a pop of colour in the outfit. I kind of like it, although I don't think this shows the top to it's full potential... I loved it on the website, and I know it can look better than this.

I then decided to try styling it simply, with some bright coloured jeans. This kind of shows that my first thoughts about needing to team the top up with something girly were wrong, as I think this looks better then the previous outfit. I chose this pretty, girly necklace to break away from the outfit becoming too androgynous.

I'd be very interested to hear if anyone else has this top, and I'd love to see how you style it!

If you've never shopped on Sosolo before, I really recommend it! The clothes are all really on trend, but very unique... I love their stuff! And if you want to buy this top, you're in luck... it's reduced!

Monday Mugshot #25

Today has been a bit of a whirlwind! I've been at work, and I've been doing some blog related stuff.

I've been working on a new look for That's Peachy, which will hopefully be launched next week... after last night's bbloggers chat on Twitter I've had a few little extra ideas.

I'm literally counting down the days until Saturday. I'm going to Manchester to see one of my favourite singers, Laura White. You probably remember Laura from XFactor... she should have won! Anyway, if anyone can recommend anywhere to go while I'm in Manchester, please let me know... places to eat, dance, shop etc, it would be really helpful!

I'm gutted I will be missing Ray's birthday celebrations though. Hope everyone who is going out in Leeds has a top night!

I'm so in love with the pleather shorts in the first picture, they're pretty much identical to some I saw in River Island, and were only £14!

The duck print playsuit is something I bought a few weeks ago, but it was too small so I had to exchange for a bigger size. The size ten was seriously short, I wouldn't have been able to wear it in public, even with tights, so hopefully this one will be much better.

All three items in the last picture were in the sale! Primark sales are the best! The brogues were £3, the bag (which I've wanted for ages) was also £3, and the glasses were 50p... love a bargain.

Pretty Collar

I wore this to work today. Alone, these two tops are totally different, but together they're perfect. I actually discovered how much I love this look when I dressed one of the work mannequins in this exact outfit... I was like 'I have to buy that!'

Of course, I love a good collar, and this one is one of my favourites. So girly, and pretty. I just know I'm going to be wearing this top under all sorts of things with the collar peeping out.

I went to Hull yesterday, and headed straight for Primark... apparently it's the biggest in the country? I'm not so sure, it didn't feel massive, but I did manage to pick up some lovely things, which I can't wait to show you all.

I've spent most of today planning some outfits for a little project I have coming up next week, which I am half excited, half nervous about, but definitely looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Primark S/S 2012

These are my favourite pieces from the upcoming S/S collection for Primark. Some of the pieces are already making their way into stores (even though it's still freezing outside!)

I'm not the biggest fan of Summery clothes, but I'm very glad to see that some of my favourite trends are still 'in'; Peter Pan collars, sheer shirts, high buttoned up collars...

I'm also loving the pastel shades of coral and green teamed up with black! Definitely going to have to get my hands on some of this!

I know I already featured this dress worn as a top not long ago, but I received a few questions about the outfit, so thought I would show you it without the skirt.

I much prefer the dress worn as a top, and I have worn it with shorts and a blazer too. I just think too much of the same pattern makes it look a little too bold, and maybe slightly on the tacky side (for me, anyway).

Don't you just love the Topshop sale?! This is what I've picked up from the latest sale, in store and online.

Aren't the boots the most beautiful things in the world?! They're my first purchase from the Topshop Premium range, and I'm pretty much in love with them. I'd lusted after them when they were full price, but no way was I going to pay £140 for them... it's too much, especially when I know I won't wear them that much, but for £50, it was too big of a reduction to pass on!

I'm so happy with everything! I can't wait to wear it all. I'm sure you'll be seeing everything pop up in my outfit photos soon.

Monday Mugshot #24

I've spent way too much money this week, I've eaten out twice (once at the best steak place in the world... I got my steak on a hot stone and cooked it to perfection myself mmmmm!), I've shopped online and in town, and later today I'm going to the Metro Center!

I'm on the hunt for a new bag, but don't want to spend too much. There's no point in me saving for a designer bag because I change my mind too often, I'd be bored of it in a month's time! I've seen a nice duck egg blue coloured one in Topshop, but I don't know whether to go for a safe brown or black one instead. I need to exchange some bits I bought in Primark yesterday, have their sizes got smaller, or have I got bigger?! Definitely going to make sure I stop for a pretzel or two though - they're the best thing about the Metro!

I should be back to proper blogging by tomorrow, I know I've been posting every day, but I haven't been using my own photos because I haven't had access to my camera. I get it back tomorrow though, so I'll be showing you all what I've been buying.

Blonde

The more I look at photos like this, the more I want to be a blondie!

Not bright, white blonde though... been there, done that when I was a teenager, and it wasn't a good look for me... although I was a natural blonde when I was younger.

I'm so tempted to be brave for once and go a dirty dark blonde colour. It's either that, or re-ombre my hair even higher than it is now. I do love the ombre, I just fancy a change.

Maybe I'll give Leo Bancroft a call and ask what he thinks!

People's Choice Awards Red Carpet

My thoughts on the outfits worn at the People's Choice Awards 2012.

The Best

Vanessa Hudgens - sheer, delicate yet classy. She looks beautiful, especially with her hair back away from her face, this goes to show that simplicity is key when you want to show off the dress.

Lea Michelle - a bit risky, but I think it works as the dress is so unique but very pretty. I love the colour pop of bright pink lipstick too.

Miley Cyrus - I would much prefer this without the coloured ruffles at the bottom, but from the front it's not too bad. (I don't like the view from the back though, the ruffles look weird!) She does look gorgeous though, the low cut v neck keeps the dress modern, while the sheer panel keeps it subtle.

Kristen Bell - This is actually a top and skirt! On first glance, I thought it was a dress. Nevertheless, I really like this. I'm glad it looks like one piece though, as I would hate the skirt on it's own.

Ashley Benson - I love this dress, the shape and cut of it are perfect! I also love her hair, makeup and bag. The only downside is the belt (or waistband) of the dress, which I'm not keen on.

Lucy Hale - this is gorgeous! I love the crazy cut and shapes in this dress, you can't go wrong with black sequins, and she looks super pretty. I just wish she had worn bright shoes... coral or pink would have looked great!

Kelly Cuoco - Really, really pretty... slightly wedding dressy, but still lovely!

Shay Mitchell - Not the ideal red carpet dress, but I do really like this. Plus is totally suits her and makes her figure look fabulous.

Elisha Cuthbert - one of my favourite outfits from the event. I love the floaty maxi skirt which completely contrasts with the gold metallic body of the dress - this really works!

Demi Lavato - so pretty! I love the colour of this dress, she looks amazing!

The Rest

Ashley Greene - a bit too gothic looking, with the black dress and the dark hair. I also don't think the leather is flattering at all, and the cut of the skirt is bizarre... it's like a rara skirt from about ten years ago, and I really don't think they're coming back around!

Chloe Moretz - this looks more like a 12 year olds party dress than a red carpet dress. The belt is awful, and because her hair and makeup are so plain and simple the dress doesn't look anymore special... shame.

Emma Stone - Although she looks really pretty, I don't think this is the correct outfit for the occasion. I think she would have looked 100 times better in a pretty dress.

Julianne Hough - I bet from the front, this looks stunning. The back is too much though... a simple v cut into the back would have looked great. It just makes her look cheap and tacky. (Her hair and makeup are amazing though).

Jennifer Lawrence - I get that this is a kind of love/hate thing here, but I'm really not a fan. Maybe if the blue was ontop of a black silk fabric, but mesh?! Noooo!

Demi Lovato - This just makes her look so much older than she is. I really like the colour on her, but the shape of the dress, and the lace edging is terrible for her. Why oh why did she change out of her other dress?!

Leopard Leggings

I've wanted leopard print leggings for so long! We finally got them in stock at work, so I snapped them straight up.

I wanted to wear them for my night out at the weekend, but I didn't have a suitable top... I wanted a long, slouchy black vest type thing, but I don't have one. Must get one!

Instead I wore them during the day, with this sheer black shirt with a vest underneath and my Ambush lookalike boots.

I was worried that the leggings would be a bit fattening, with the big, bold print, but actually I think they're super flattering. Also, couldn't decide if I preferred the shirt buttoned up or not... looking at these pictures, I much prefer my signature buttoned to the top look!

Illamasqua 'Scorn' with Models Own 'Juicy Jules'

My Juicy Jules polish has gone all gloopy, and I've only used about a third of it.

I have no doubts about buying a new bottle though, I love it so much!

I wore my nails like this for my night out on Saturday, they were perfect for nighttime.

This is the first time I've worn Scorn, and I really like it. It's the perfect matte black polish. I was a little bit worried when I opened a black nail polish on Christmas morning, but I actually do think I'd wear it on it's own. I'm going to try it with glitter tips next time though.

Saturday Night Outfit

(Dress worn as) Top: Primark // Skirt: Primark // Tights: New Look

I went out to celebrate one of my friend’s birthday drinks last night, and this is what I wore.
I wanted to wear something quite casual, but still smart, as it wasn’t a full on night out, we just went to pubs, not clubs. I’ve had this dress in my wardrobe for a while now, and hadn’t worn it, so I thought it was the perfect excuse to get some use out of it. Initially I was just going to wear it as a dress, but thought the skirt went really well with it.

I wore fake tan for the first time in ages! I used Sinless Sun Instant Tan, which I love. Not too dark, it just gave me a bit of colour for a change.
I curled my hair with my amazing Enrapture Totem Styler, which I am in love with (review coming soon).

I had such a great night, it's been ages since I had a proper night out, we danced all night!

Illamasqua Freak Gift Set

This was another Christmas present this year, but trust me, if you're going to splurge, and treat yourself to anything this year, don't buy a handbag... don't buy clothes... buy this!

I reviewed Freak a few months ago (you can read my review here) and I still stand by everything I said about it, except now, I love it even more.

I made my sample bottle last as long as possible, because I just didn't want to run out. Luckily, it was quite easy to prolong, as the fragrance sticks around for ages without the need of a re-spray.

I did however, sadly run out in November, so a full sized bottle went straight to the top of my Christmas list.

On Christmas morning when I opened the gift set, I was so surprised, and so happy... it was like an Illamasqua goody box!

Firstly, isn't the packaging amazing?! I love the design, and the shape of the perfume bottle too. I definitely think all of the little extra details thats Illamasqua put into everything sets them apart from their competitors in a great way.
In the gift set, you get a full size (75ml) bottle of Freak perfume, a full size 'Jo'Mina' nail polish (possibly my favourite polish ever!) I'm so glad to have a new bottle of this, as my old one is running low, a full size lipgloss in 'Rouse' and a full size Pure Pigment in 'Static'!
All of which are very wearable colours, not the typical 'odd' colours you get in gift sets... I can't wait to use it all!

YSL Shocking Mascara

When I was given this mascara for Christmas, I couldn’t wait to try it out. I have used YSL cosmetics in the past, including a mascara, which I loved, but with this being the new thing, I had high expectations for it.

I featured this in my Christmas presents post, and a few people asked for reviews on it. Although I'm not a frequent beauty blogger, I like to include a little bit of beauty alongside the fashion, and I’ve been using this mascara on a daily basis since I received it, so I thought I would share my views with you.

My initial thoughts were that firstly, I love the packaging. Classic YSL, simple yet stunning and high quality, with the opposing ‘Shocking’ written roughly, almost like graffiti across the tube, making it very different from any other mascara’s I’ve seen.

When I opened the mascara, I was very pleased to see a thick brush, with very dense bristles (I hate when you get a mascara brush with the bristles all really spread out!)
I found that the brush is always fully loaded with product too, there is so need to dip the brush in and out of the tube, infect, I find myself taking a bit of the product off the brush at first!

When applying the first thing I noticed, is that the mascara is very wet. I’ve had a few mishaps with blinking and ending up with an eyelid covered in mascara! It is easy to get used to however, and I no longer worry about this. The brush really opens up my lashes, and spreads them wide apart.
One coat of this mascara is definitely sufficient for daytime, and only two coats needed for nighttime.

It is very black, and adds volume and length to my lashes. I really love it, and would say it is definitely worth the price tag.

How much are these boots like the Topshop Ambush boots?! They're pretty much identical!

As soon as I saw them in Internacionale, I knew I had to have them. They're the perfect winter boot for me... black, small heel, stylish, comfy. Just what I need.

I had considered buying myself the Ambush ones from Topshop, but at £75, I found it hard to justify.

These were only £24.99 so I treated myself with some of my Christmas money.

I wore them on Tuesday for work, with this outfit, I have a feeling I'll be getting a lot more wear out of them.

Rust & Leather

I wore this outfit for work yesterday. A lovely mixture of my favourite colours; burgandy, rusty brown and black, you can't go wrong.
I wore my new chunky cardi all day to keep warm, but took a few photos without to show of the shape of my blouse.
These shorts were a birthday present, bought in a vintage shop in York.

I'm actually gutted that these colours are being phased out in the shops to make way for Summer stock. It's way too early, plus, I don't really like S/S collections. I'm definitely an A/W dresser! Got my fingers tightly crossed that a lot of my favourite trends stay current and available throughout the Summer... collars, lace, shirts and scalloping!

One Direction and 'Don't Hate Me Cos I'm Reem' t-shirts... I think my boyfriend would fall out with me if I bought the One Direction one, but I might buy the Reem one to wear in bed, I love TOWIE (sad but true)!
The One Direction one is actually from the children's department of the shop, in a size 12-13. I can't quite believe I fitted into it!

Monday Mugshot #22

My first blog post in 2012! For some reason it feels like it's been the year 2012 for ages already... maybe because of the film! Hopefully the world won't be ending anytime soon though.

Topshop Vectras & Sequin Top

I didn't buy much when I went to Middlesbrough for the Boxing Day Sales, but I'm so glad I dragged myself out of bed and went!
I've been after this New Look sequin top for months, but I couldn't find it anywhere, even online. I found it in store just before Christmas but it had red marker pen on the back from when it had been marked down for sale, so I kind of gave up on ever owning it. Then there it was, the only one left, in my size... perfect!

I also picked up these Vectra2 shoes from Topshop. They're a size too big, but I'm going to make them work. I couldn't believe it when I saw them, especially for the price! Again, they were the last ones... I think luck was totally on my side!

How To Shop January Sales

This year was the first time I've ever braved the January Sales on Boxing Day. I'm not a big fan of sale shopping, I hate the hustle and bustle, and the mess of it all. Probably due to working in fashion retail for four years, I know how much hard work and time goes into setting up a sale, and how much of a terrible job it is to tidy it at the end of the day.

I thought I would share a few tips for how to prepare for shopping the January sales.
Firstly, the sales online are never as good as the sales in store... in my opinion. Obviously this differs slightly for certain stores, and for the odd item or two which are web exclusives, but in general, I find the in store sales to have more choice. You also don't have the problem of websites running slow when the sales launch etc.

The online sales however, are a good place to start. If a sale goes live online at midnight, you can't be in store until 9am, but rather than panic buying and getting 'click happy' online, use the sale to your advantage and study it. Make a plan in your head of what you want to find in store. This definitely makes it easier than going into the shop simply looking for a bargain. If you know what you want, you won't waste your time looking at everything on a rail, and therefore will hopefully get what you want before anyone else beats you to it.

Prepare for every shop, and get your priorities right. You know which shops will be busiest, and where you want the most from... so head there first. The earlier you get to the shop, the better. Not only because there will be more choice, but because it will be tidy. Those poor little sales assistants have spent hours size ordering/colour coordinating/product blocking/price ordering the sale rails, so at 9am, everything is in its place, making it really easy to shop. After an hour or so, everything is messed up, and the items you're searching for, are most likely on the floor, under the rails, or being walked on. Half of the time, people hide sale items elsewhere in the shop as well - people are really crafty when it comes to sales!

When shopping in store, you have the benefits of being able to try clothes on before you buy. However, the changing rooms (if open - some stores keep them closed on busy sale days) will be packed, and queues will be huge. It is worth it though. Most stores return policies on sale items now state that you cannot return items, you can only exchange. Always be aware of this if you decide not to try before you buy.

Don't rely on returning or exchanging an item on a busy sale day (Boxing Day/ New Years Day) some stores will decide not to accept returns these days, to prevent holding up queues.

Make sure you cover all areas of the shop before queuing up to pay. Don't forget to look at the jewellery when you're half way down the line... you will regret it. January sale queues will be massive, and you won't want to queue again.

If the store has baskets (most do, even though you've probably never noticed) - use one! It's so much easier than struggling to carry clothes, shoes, accessories all in your arms. A basket can also come in handy for giving yourself a bit of space while you're looking through clothes rails. Sale shoppers can be aggressive, they will push you out of the way if they want to... a basket can help prevent that (a bit!)

Sale shopping is stressful, but try and shop nicely. Don't throw clothes on the floor, if you drop something, pick it up, even if nobody else does. Be polite to other shoppers, and they will most likely return the favour. Also, remember how hard it is for the sales assistants... they don't want to be at work during sale, it is the most awful time to work in retail, and it is HARD WORK. Try to understand how upsetting it is to spend an hour tidying just one row of the sale, only to turn around and see that it's worse than when you started it. It's not their fault that the queues are massive, or that the shop is a mess, so be nice to them, they will appreciate it massively!

And don't forget, the best bargains don't always go on the first day. From experience, I know that pretty much every shop you go into will have a stock room full of sale stock. Every single day the shops will be replenishing their sale rails with more stock from upstairs, so that one thing you were looking for might appear the next day. Keep checking back. Remember, it will be quieter and tidier a few days after the launch.

Last of all, good luck! Braving the sales is a nightmare, but it's really worth it when you come home with bags full of bargains!

I had a lovely day yesterday, surrounded by loved ones and delicious food... definitely what Christmas is all about.
I've really enjoyed reading everyone else's Christmas day posts, and seeing what everyone got, so I thought I would share my presents with you all.

I braved the Boxing Day Sales this morning too! It was hell, but still worth it... I'll share my buys with you in tomorrow's post.

Leopard Print & Wine

I wore this today for a catch up with my friend.

I've had this blouse in my wardrobe with the tags on since I left my old job, so thought it was about time I wore it! I really like it, I love leopard print anyway, but this is quite a bright print, which makes a nice change. Stepping away from a high necked blouse for a night too - it felt weird!

These leggings are one of my favourite items to wear at the moment too, I love this colour, so much that I'm trying to consciously stop buying anymore burgandy/maroon/wine coloured things because I have too much. But with these, I could not resist. They are really thick and warm, kind of a cross between leggings and jogging bottoms (if you can imagine that!) and they were a bargain at £12.99. I've got my eye on the same pair in a camel colour too. (Must stop shopping!)

Monday Mugshot #21

Actually had to edit the colours on this photo, the lighting was so bad! I wanted to take outfit photos tonight aswell, but I had no chance of beating the dark.

I'm half way through four days off work, and I really don't know what to do with myself... I feel a little lost! I'm only used to having one, or two (at most) days off together, so it kind of feels like I'm wasting these four days, but at the same time it's really nice to just relax.

Less than a week until Christmas now, I can't believe how quickly it's come round! Usually at this time of year I'm panicking about what to buy people, but this year I'm totally prepared, all of my presents are bought and wrapped.
My Dad keeps asking me what I want though, and I don't know what to ask for. He was going to get me a Clarisonic from ASOS while the Grazia discount code was on, but he left it too late, and I don't want hime to have to pay full price... what should I ask for? Maybe I'll ask him to pay for my HD Brows treatment... I've grown them out a bit in preperation!

New Beauty Finds

Nars Blush - Orgasm // He-Shi Bronzer // Calvin Klein - Shock

Similar to a monthly/current favourites blog post, but rather than repeating myself, I thought I would just show you some of my newly discovered products.

First up, not very new to a lot of people, Nars Orgasm. Massively talked about, and lusted over... I've always been one to buy the dupes, less money for a similar item. Then I was lucky enough to win this in Jude's blog giveaway! Described on the website as 'peachy pink with shimmer' it sounds perfect... and in reality, it is! This is my go-to blusher, and I will never again use a cheap imitation in place of this. It's stunning on the skin, and totally worth investing in, I will 100% repurchase this.

Next, the Hi-Shi Fusion Multi Bronzer. This is a gorgeous matte bronzer, which I use sometimes as a contour or a blush, and also to add some colour to my face when I've used fake tan. I love how it has so many shades of bronzer within the product, this makes it very easy to blend, and really natural looking. Hi-Shi is a new brand to me, but after trying this, I'm definitely wanting to look into giving their fake tan a go!

Last up, Calvin Klein Shock. I initially smelled this when I was cornered and sprayed in a department store, and I was pleasantly surprised, then I was given it as a birthday present. I'm not a fan of the packaging, or the advertising campaign which was used for this fragrance, it looked cheap, young and a little tacky to me... but it just goes to show that you shouldn't judge. It is described as 'a juicy, flavourful floriental that warms into a sexy skin musk'.

It's quite a fresh, fruity smell, I've been using it as my daytime fragrance since my Illamasqua Freak sample ran out, and I've had a lot of compliments. The only bad thing about this, is that after a couple of hours, I can't smell it on myself, and have to re-apply, but that's not really a problem.

Illamasqua Makeover

When I attended the Illamasqua Leeds store opening last week, we were allowed to have our makeup done, and test out the products.
I chose to have my blusher done, using the cream blushers, which I have always been very interested in.

Throughout the Winter season, my skin gets very dry, so I'm massively into highlighting to give myself a bit of a glow. I chose to try the colours 'Rude' a coraly pink, with 'Lies' to highlight my cheekbone.
One of the MUA's applied it for me, using a small brush, and this is the finished look. I love it!

Both of these blushers are definite must haves for me now! I've hinted a few times, so fingers crossed I'll get them on Christmas morning.

Illamasqua Goody Bag

If you read my blog post about the Illamasqua event I attended last week, you will have heard that while I was there, I received an amazing goody bag.

This is what was inside:
False Eyelashes - These are limited edition, and are covered in diamantes. One of the MUA's at the Leeds store was wearing them and they looked stunning!
Illumine Oil - This is never a product which I would have bought for myself, but since reading about it, I can't wait to use it on my next night out! It claims to leave a sultry shimmer and light reflecting finish to the skin - perfect for party season!
Bronzing Duo - This is my favourite product from the bag! I use bronzer everyday, so this will definitely come in handy, especially as the powders are pearly rather than glittery, making it perfect for daytime use.
Intesnse Lipgloss in 'Femme' - I'm looking forward to wearing this. Recently, I've always been reaching for brighter lip colours, so this is perfect for me! Described on the website as a 'bright coral pink', it's bang on trend!

Party Dress

I had a bit of a nightmare last week. I ordered myself a gorgeous new dress from Lavish Alice, especially for my best friend’s engagement party. I was so relieved when the package arrived on the day, I came straight home from work, ripped it open, and went to put the dress on so that I could admire it in all it’s beauty. Then the dreaded moment happened… it didn’t fit!
An hour until I had to leave, and nothing to wear!

After a fanatic ten minutes of throwing clothes allover my room, I decided to wear this dress from AX Paris. I bought it in the summer for a birthday party, and really liked it on. I really like these balloon like sleeves (I don’t know if that’s what they’re actually called) because they’re so simple, yet effective and don’t have the tacky fake jewels all around the cuffs like the ones which were in the shops last Christmas. Plus, I love a good bodycon dress, holds me in, in all the right places!

I kept my outfit simple, teaming the dress up with a spike necklace from Internacionale (forgot to take photos with the necklace on... it's the same as the one I wore here but gunmetal colour), a big statement Topshop ring, big wedges and bright lipstick.

I'm thinking of selling this dress, I only tend to wear things once and then they get forgotten, seeing as though I've worn it twice, I don't mind passing it on. Its in perfect condition, size 10... leave a comment if you're interested xx

Unfortunately I don't have much more to fill you in on... I've been working and doing Christmas shopping and that's about it. I hate these dark, cold nights. I'm just happy being boring and staying in with a cup a soup!

Illamasqua Leeds Store Opening

On Thursday I attended the opening night for the new Illamasqua store in Leeds.
It is an amazing shop, embellished in theatrical decor and glitter from top to bottom. Housed in the Victoria Quarter, it is in beautiful surroundings and fits in perfectly.

I had a lovely evening, I got to meet up with some of my favourite bloggers Ray, Sinead, Caroline, Dan, Laura, Lucy, Nicoletta and Catherine. We were greeted on the door with a glass of champagne, then spent the night speaking with the lovely (and beautifully made up) makeup artists, testing and swatching the products to our heart's content, and then having out makeup done.
I will be doing a seperate post about the products I tried out.

I spent most of my time there making a large Christmas list in my head, there are so many gorgeous products I want to buy!

If you're local to Leeds, you should definitely head over and check out the store. It's in the Victoria Quarter, directly opposite Mulberry.

Christmas Party Outfit - Primark Playsuit

Last night was my work Christmas Party and this is what I wore.
It was a really good night, and the food was amazing, we had a full Christmas dinner mmmm!

Primark is my favourite shop at the moment, I always fall in love with their Winter stock. If you’re looking for cheapish Christmas wear, you really need to check it out, they have loads of things I want!

This playsuit is my first ever purchase from the Primark ‘Limited Edition’ range, probably because my local Primark just had a makeover, and now get’s loads more stock than it used to… I don’t think I’ve ever seen any LE items before.
It was a little pricey for Primark at £23, but if it had been in Topshop, that price would have been a major bargain! I always like to think of Primark that way!

It’s very me, the black and white, the lace, the cute collar… cute!
Plus, Caroline Flack has it, so it can’t be bad!

I only wore one ring and smokey eye makeup with it, as I don’t think it needs any more accessories, and my beloved New Look shoe boots.

Carmine Beauty Box November 2011

I received my first Carmine Beauty Box last week, and I was really excited to see what was inside!

My initial thoughts are really positive. I was very happy to receive three makeup items, and really pleased to see brand names I recognize... I do like trying new things in these beauty boxes, but I definitely think a well known brand or two make it feel more special, especially when it's something you're interested in trying anyway.

In this box, I received:
A La Carte Cosmetics brow ink - I'm all for big, perfect brows. I use wax and powder at the moment, but can't wait to give this a good go. I love eyeliners with felt tip pen tips, and this is exactly the same, I'm expecting it to be really easy to use.

Dainty Doll eyeliner pencil - I've always been a little intrigued by this brand, I was a big Girls Aloud fan, and watched Nicola begin to create her makeup range on one of their tv shows. I am quite pale myself (although not as pale as Nicola) and often wondered if these products would work for me. I'll definitely be experimenting with this!

New CID Cosmetics lipstick - This is a brand I've liked the look of for a long time. All of the products I read about get highly praised, and look lovely. I received a lovely pink coloured lipstick, very useful... It even comes with a built in light and mirror - amazing! You'll be seeing this on my blog very soon.

Lulu's Timebomb night cream - I don't use night cream, but I don't see any harm in starting now. I've just had another birthday, so I'm not exactly getting any younger! Another celebrity endorsed product in the same box, but I've heard good things about this brand too.

Neom organic body wash/lotion - I've never heard of this brand before, but I like to try new bath products, it sounds really special, and the sample size I received is really generous.

I haven't used enough of any of the products to share my views yet, but make sure you let me know if you want to see reviews of anything.

All in all, this is probably my favourite beauty box I have subscribed to so far... I'm really looking forward to seeing what's inside the next box.

This is what I wore last week to go out for a meal with my friend to celebrate my birthday.

The good old Primark pleated leather skirt that everyone either has or wants (I was so lucky to get this, it was the last one in my local Primark!) I wear this quite a lot, over sheer things, and under chunky knits, it's so cute! I bought another leather skirt (of the faux variety) in H&M the other day too, they're amazing for this weather, I really would recommend investing!

The blouse/shirt is quite old now, I featured it on here ages ago. LOVE the colour so much, I keep dragging it back out of my wardrobe. They made it in loads of colours back then, I wish I'd bought them all now! I hate when that happens.
At the moment I'm recycling all of my old blouses with high necks, I love having everything buttoned right to the top with big buttons and fancy collars.

I've got this necklace in gold and gunmetal silver... I love it! If you have an Internacionale near you, definitely have a look at their jewellery, it's so cheap!

I can't believe it's been a whole week since I posted on here. My internet has been down, so I haven't had chance to get on here, and then for some reason something's gone wrong with my camera, and I can't get my photos to transfer to my laptop. So if anyone knows much about Canon cameras, or Macbook's... please help!

I've cheated with today's photo... I'm suffering from a sore throat/flu/cold kind of thing, and my skin is really suffering for it, so I thought I'd use a picture from last week instead. I think that's a good enough excuse.

I'm going to the opening of the new Illamasqua store in Leeds on Thursday, so I'll be seeing some of my favourite bloggers and hopefully meeting some new people too... really can't wait! Let me know if you're coming!

It's my birthday tomorrow! Although, I have to go to work... so that's going to be fun.
I have quite a few things coming up through the week which I am looking forward to, so can't complain. Birthday's really aren't the same when you're old!
First part of the celebrations is a meal with one of my best friends tonight, in one of my favourite places, Starters.

I received my Boudoir Prive and Carmine beauty boxes today, so I will be posting about those this week at some point. This month was my first Carmine box, and I'm really impressed... kind of think four boxes is too many though, I really need to decide which to stick with!

Another high necked piece of clothing for my collection... my favourite 'thing' at the moment, I also love the batwing sleeves and the colour of this blouse - it's so pretty.

I teamed it with this fake leather pleated skirt to give it a bit of an edgy look.

I'm just a bit disappointed with how the blouse photographed... I think it looks a little puffy, rather than showing how nicely it actually hangs in real life. Shame.

I've been doing a little bit more Christmas shopping today, in the shops and online. I keep getting distracted looking at dresses though - there are SO MANY things I want to buy at the moment. I should have put the Lotto on!

Style Inspiration - Caroline Flack

It's been a while since I wrote a 'style inspiration' blog, but this is one I just had to share with you all.
I LOVE Caroline Flack!

Peter Pan collars, bow ties, lace, skater dresses, amazing shoes, Olly Murs on her arm... everything I love, rolled into one.

Every week on Xtra Factor, I lust over her outfits, so girly and cute, but easy to wear, and 99% of the time; totally affordable.
I love the fact that Caroline practically lives in high street fashion, so her look is really easy to recreate.
Since presenting Xtra Factor, she has been wearing lots of Topshop, River Island, Miss Selfridge and ASOS clothes - don't you love when a 'celebrity' who could demand any designer get up she wants, keeps it real and wears what us normal folk wear too!

I'm majorly jealous of her Topshop boots... she has the Astrid's which I would pretty much kill for and the Ribbon Tie Faux Pony Skin boots which I love, but refuse to pay for.

I have treated myself to a new birthday dress from Lavish Alice, which Caroline wore last week... I can't wait for it to arrive! I tracked it down thanks to She's A Secret Shopper.

Caroline is definitely my current style crush!

Cardigan: Ark Clothing

I haven't taken this cardigan off my back since I received it from Ark last week. I'm in love with it, plus it keeps me warm - perfect. It is from the brand Reverse Clothing.
I have loads of leopard print in my wardrobe, but I'm a believer that you can never have enough of a good thing, and I think leopard print tends to go with anything... I'm a big fan.

There are currently loads of bits on the Ark website that I really want (I hate being skint this time of year). There is a great mix of going out and casual clothing, all at very good prices too! You should have a look.

I bought this dress before I left New Look. It was in fact, my first burgundy/maroon purchase this season (the first of wayyy too many!) I wore it on a night out with my girls, teamed up with leopard print wedges, but I equally love it dressed down like this.
I really like the pleated skirt, and the little gold buttons on the chest and cuffs - cute!

I'll probably get plenty of wear out of this over the Christmas period, it's quite festive I guess.

Sorry if the photos are a little bit too dark, I tried to photograph the outfit with my camera flash on, but the light bounced back off the slightly shiny fabric of the dress, and made it look awful.

Monday Mugshot #17

I'm really rubbish at Monday Mugshot's lately aren't I?! This is my first one in November, and I cheated... I didn't take this today.

I've had a lazy day, spent with my little girl. I'm still in the top I slept in, and I haven't put any makeup on or done my hair - not a pretty sight.

I was going to take some outfit photos and add a few bits to my blog sale, but instead I caught up with some TV... X Factor and I'm A Celebrity (Yes I watch all of the best stuff!)

I'm working all week after today (gutted!) but I've got all of my blog posts scheduled for the week, so I won't have to worry about updating!

I might be moving house in the new year, which is half exciting and half scary. I've lived in the same place all my life, so it's a big step for me. I'll update you more on that when it's all decided though.

How are you all getting on with your Christmas shopping? I've almost finished buying things for my little girl, and I've bought little pressies for my close friends but that's all I've done so far. I'm always such a last minute person, but I do actually know what I'm buying everyone this year, I think it's the most organised I've ever been!

Christmas Wishlist

Nails Inc Gossip Girl collection - ever since these were released I've been obsessed with looking at swatches and I definitely need them, especially the Blair & Lily collections - they're gorgeous!

OPI 'Rainbow Connection' - I think everyone wants this, it's so perfect for Christmas and New Year - you can't go wrong with a glitter polish and I love that the glitter particles in this are so big.

Illamasqua Freak - I reviewed this perfume and fell in love, the scent is so unique and quite strong (which I like) and it lasts all day. This is one of the things I have been majorly hinting about!

Lush Snow Fairy lip tint - I've never tried this before, but like most people I love the Snow Fairy shower gel, so I really want to give this a go! I love Lush at Christmas!

Rock n Rose cross necklace - I only came across this randomly, when I was browsing the Rock n Rose website, but I love it. I think it's a great twist on a classic.

Mustard scarf - You may have seen my Tweets about looking for the perfect mustard coloured scarf, hat & gloves. I'm still not sure if this is the one I want (this one's from New Look)... but I definitely want something similar. As long as its chunky, mustard and warm I'll be happy!

YSL Arty ring - You may find this strange, but I don't want a real one... I want a copy in silver, I'm not a big gold wearer. I've seen a few copies floating around on the internet, so if you've got a good one, let me know.

Cheap Frills Anchor necklace - how cute is this?! I want this just because it's gorgeous and I much prefer wearing jewellery from more independent places like Cheap Frills, rather than shopping in Primark and Topshop all the time.

Topshop makeup bag - I use a Benefit makeup bag, which I've had for years, and to be honest, it is past it's best. So I need this! I had been looking at various makeup bags, but I think this is really cool, it's definitely my favourite I've seen so far.

The Pippa Bag - I absolutely love this, and definitely like it best in this colour 'shark'. I won't be getting this, but I might consider saving up for it myself if I receive any Christmas money.

Nasty Gal shirt - I pretty much want everything from the Nasty Gal website, but this is amazing! I love the sleeves and I really think I would get a lot of wear out of this.

New Look animal print kimono - I know this looks horrible in the picture, and I would never team with with that shirt dress, but in real life this is really nice - trust me!

Miss Selfridge skirt - I almost bought this on a recent shopping trip, and didn't, then when I got home I really regretted it! I love all of the Fairisle style knits that are back in style this season, I think they're so cute!

Sosolo leather sleeve top - This is one of my favourite things I've seen recently, I want this so badly! Really quirky and different, but something which will be so easy to wear. They sell this in a few different colours, but I like the grey best.

Topshop dress - This is the dress I want for my work Christmas party ( I think!) I love all the dresses with these spot mesh insterts, but I think this one is so cute with the bow tie!

Westlife & Olly Murs albums - I'm so sad Westlife are splitting up, and I definitely need their greatest hits to get me through the tough time! I love Olly Murs too and can't wait to hear his new music.

This dress has been worn so much, I can't believe I haven't featured it on here sooner! I was given it by Sosolo, and as soon as I opened the parcel I knew it would be something I would get a lot of wear out of. In the warmer weather it was great with bare legs, and now it's colder, I've been wearing it with different cardigans and tights - so easy to just throw on and instantly look cute! Isn't the collar amazing?!

I'm also wearing a super cute necklace which was sent to me from Cheap Frills - check out their site if you're wanting some little presents for friends for Christmas. I'm definitely going to!

Had a bit of a bad hair day, so decided to throw it into a loose plait. I still haven't mastered the fishtail plait, so had to settle for the good old way of plaiting! I'm seriously considering cutting my hair off, I'm wanting it quite a bit shorter, but like I've said on here before, I'm pretty sure I would regret it straight away! I also want to dye it dark brown again... hmm what to do?!

Apricot Fashion have signed her, to promote their 'transformer denim' range.

Transformer Denim jeans come in three different fits; Peachy Fit, Juicy Fit & Electric Fit. All are designed to change the line of a woman's problem areas; hips, waist and bum.

Peachy Fit is low cut, which compliments and enhances your curves. They have super soft power fabrics, which work to give a sleek silhouette.

Juicy Fit have eight back side seams, which hug your body and give your curves maximum impact.

Electric Fit is Brazilian inspired. They are ultra low cut, which creates contour to the body. They have a wide waistband, and are stretchy, making them ultra slimming.

The jeans are priced between £39 and £49, which is average for jeans, but if they really do, do the trick and fit perfectly, then I guess they are worth the money... nothing beats the perfect pair of jeans, right?!

I love the bleach washed and the red pairs the best - I'm so tempted to give them a go!

Big Brother Girls

I was a big fan of this year's Big Brother, so I thought I would do a little blog post about the entrance and eviction outfits worn by my favourite girls from this year.

First up, Louise, who would look amazing in absolutely anything to be honest! Her entrance outfit caught my eye straight away, it is definitely an outfit I would wear, it's cute and quirky. I believe the top and skirt are actually from H&M (but don't quote me on that!)

Her eviction outfit disappointed me, and I had really high hopes for it, after loving pretty much everything she wore in the house. I didn't think it suited her style at all, and came across as a little bit try hard'. Too frilly and over the top - like a bad wedding dress. I also have to say I preferred her hair without the fringe. Still though, she looked stunning.

Faye was my favourite girl in this year's house. I'm not the biggest fan of her style, but I think what she wears works really well for her - lets face it, she has the figure for it! All of her dresses from the entrance, her eviction and the final were from Quontum who have some amazing items on their website. Faye's outfit which she wore for the finale night was my favourite, it was a mixture of the two dresses above, with the coloured straps on the back. I thought this was gorgeous on her!

Maisy wore some great clothes in the house, especially her Motel jeans, which everyone now wants! She has also worn some great blazer and hat combo's since her eviction. I loved her leather dress she wore to enter the house, teamed with her big blonde hair and red lips - she looked fab. I didn't like her eviction outfit as much though, it was still nice, I just didn't think it was very 'Maisy'... I think she suits the edgy side of fashion better.

Alex is a real life Barbie girl, if you watched Big Brother, you will know she lives for fake tan, bleached extensions and the colour pink. It's fair to say, nothing will change that, but I do think she left Big Brother looking alot better than when she went in. Her new hair looks so much nicer (although I wish she would ditch the extensions!) and her dress, which was actually the dress she wore to her prom, showed off her amazing figure.

Last up, doesn't Faye look amazing here?! This was from the Big Brother wrap party. Yes, having the gorgeous Aaron on her arm helps, but her dress is beautiful! Does anyone know where it's from? I need it!!

I know this should be my Monday Mugshot post, but I'm still on a high from the Leeds blogger meetup, so I thought I would show you what I wore for that instead!

I am a bit obsessed with the colour burgandy at the moment, literally everything that I see in this colour, I have to buy!I love skater dresses, I think they're really flattering, and this colour with thick black tights is great for the colder weather.

I've been wearing this cardigan instead of a coat while the weather hasn't been too cold, and luckily Saturday was great weather. This is definitely my favourite item I've bought in ages, I love navajo/aztec prints, and you can't go wrong with black & white!

Yesterday was the blogger's meet up in Leeds which myself and Ray organised. It seemed to take forever to come round, but it was totally worth the wait!

I hadn't met any of the girls before, so I was a little nervous, but very excited! So excited in fact, I didn't even struggle to get up when my alarm went off at 6:30am.
We had over 20 bloggers attend the event - which I thought was amazing! I never expected that many people would want to come, but I'm so glad everyone did, it was great to meet everybody, and I really felt like I made so many new friends! Thank you all for coming - it meant so much!!

This is what I wore for work yesterday. This jumper is one of my favourites at the moment, I've been wearing it loads. When we got it in stock everyone said it was 'very me' and I bought it straight away.
The heart print is so cute (although my boyfriend pointed out it looks like it says 'vava' allover it!), and the metallic threads in the collar, hem and cuffs make it a little Christmassy - which I think is nice for this time of year!

Since working at Internacionale, I have actually been very impressed with their stock. I remember it being really cheap and not very nice when I was in my teens, but it is so much better than that now! The prices are really good, everything is on trend, and there are loads of items which are pretty much identical to things sold in Topshop, River Island, Miss Selfridge etc. If you haven't shopped there for a while, you should definitely check it out - I love it!

I'm very excited for the Leeds meetup on Saturday, although I'm still trying to decide what to wear! If you want to ask anything about it, or speak to the people who are coming, just use the hashtag #Leedsbloggermeet on Twitter.

It's nice to treat yourself once in a while, isn't it?!
I'm not usually one to splash out on cosmetics... I class Mac and Benefit as high end, where as some class them as high street/mid priced brands.
My makeup bag is filled with lots of different products, in about a 60/40 split high street/high end.
I'm one of those people who is quite happy to settle for a dupe, if it means it costs less.

My boyfriend talked me into splashing some cash on a recent trip to Fenwicks, and I came home with a right little beauty!
Tom Ford cosmetics have always been something I have majorly lusted over, and never really considered paying, but I'm so glad I took that giant step and bought something.

When I went to the counter, I knew I wanted a lipstick, and I knew I wanted a colour which I could wear every day, rather than a nighttime colour. I wanted to get my money's worth out of it!

The MUA was really helpful, and let me try lots of different lipsticks before I decided on this one, 'Pink Dusk', and as I reluctantly (and excitedly) handed over my credit card, she wrapped the lipstick in black tissue paper and sprayed the bag with Tom Ford perfume. I love the extra little touches like that!

The quality of the bag, the box, the lipstick casing and the product itself are all top of the range.
The lipstick lasts hours on the lips, isn't drying and I feel expensive when I wear it - I guess a treat once in a while is a good thing!

This is what I wore last night to go and see Britney Spears. Which was amazing, apart from when I got my camera taken off me and all my photos were deleted :( Definitely a downside to having a decent camera - gutted!

I initially saw this skirt on Lily's blog and I knew I had to track one down for myself straight away... I was really lucky though, because there was only two left in my local Primark. I was so pleased they had my size left!

This top is also a recent purchase , it's the only thing I've bought from New Look since leaving my job there. I love animal print, and it's so easy to wear. I love how tucking a t-shirt into something can totally transform the look - simples!

In other news, I'm going to be holding another giveaway over the next few days, just a little something to say thank you to you all for following my blog! I still can't believe I've passed the 1000 mark!

Tonight's evening consists of a yummy Indian meal here, and lots of girly gossip.
I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to Indian food, and I never know what to order, so god knows what I'm going to end up eating, but I'm sure the night will be fun anyway!

I tried taking outfit photos, but it's too dark (I hate the clocks changing), so I've taken a few random Photobooth pictures to share with you, and I'll try get an outfit post up on Thursday.

I'm wearing a Topshop dress (buttoned all the way up - my new fave thing to do!) with a Topshop skirt ontop (love layering too!) with a Cheap Frills cat ears ring (so cute!) and a New Look bracelet.

You can only really see in the last of the photos, but I've done away with my center parting... I'm undecided wether it's going to be a permanent thing, or just a one-nighter, but I'm liking it right now, for a change at least! What do you reckon?!
I guess you can kinda see my re-ombred hair okay in these pictures too.

I'm back! Okay, so you probably haven't missed me, but I've been absent from blogging for a whole week!
Totally failed at getting a decent webcam photo for this post, I just looked pale and blotchy in them all (I blame the dark nights and bad lighting), so I decided to use this one, which was a bit of an accident - I was actually on my phone!

Happy Halloween to you all! I was going to do a bit of scary makeup, but to be honest, I couldn't really be bothered. I've been boring this year and haven't celebrated at all.
I'm really proud of the fact that I've had a really great head start on Christmas shopping this year though. Usually I'm a total last minute shopper, but I've already got lots done. There's not that long to go though really, only 54 days according to my good friend google!

Going to have a good catch up on blogs tonight (reading and writing) and watch Big Brother. If you follow me on Twitter, I'm sure you have noticed that I'm a massive fan of Big Brother, and I'm backing Aaron to win this year - I love him! Have you been watching?

Monday Mugshot #15

I re-ombred my hair today... I used a different dye, and a slightly different technique to do it. I kind of expected it to be even blonder than it is, but I still love it! (sneak peek in this photo but I'll do a full post about it soon)

I've been out to see some friends tonight, and for a good old Nandos (I swear I eat other food!!) Spicy rice mmmm!! Feeling majorly bloated now... wearing leather shorts was probably a mistake!

I won't be 'proper' blogging until Friday or Saturday because I haven't got my camera - but I'll try think of something to post during the week.
I have a bit of a Primark and Topshop haul to show you, but it will probably have to wait, I hate posting iphone photos.
